There are variations but a sample lemonade diet will incorporate 12 tablespoons of freshly squeezed organic lemon juice, 12 tablespoons of organic maple syrup and 60 ounces of spring water consumed daily. Spread the water intake over 6 glasses (10 oz.) with 2 tablespoons of both the fresh lemon juice and maple syrup added to each glass. The last ingredient is cayenne pepper (1/20 teaspoon per glass) which can be put into capsules and taken that way if you can’t tolerate the taste.
The last factors are a laxative tea twice daily and a sea salt wash. The laxative tea may be needed because the lack of fiber in the lemonade diet may cause constipation.
