Question by ZZZONKED: is my ‘new’ diet plan okay, will i lose weight from it? (a lot of reading sorry!)?
first of all i’m female have just turned 15, i’m 5’6, i don’t really wanna give out my weight, it’s so embarrassing, but yeah i’m obese. i don’t really look OBESE (although i am a size 14-16..) but anyway. i used to do this..
wake up late, skip breakfast. i’d take sandwiches, crisps & a chocolate bar to school (and eat this at breaktime at about 10:30, as i skipped breakfast) then i’d eat no lunch because i obviously didn’t have any, get home from school at around 3.20, i’d eat either a packet of crisps, piece(s) of toast, and chocolate bar? or i’d have like a pot noodle and 2 pieces of bread, then snack even more later in the evening. THEN at around 5-6 i’d eat proper meal. along with these meals i would have juice or diet coke/lemonade.. sometimes i’d eat more than i listed.. and the only exersize i would do was a walk for 30 mins on weekdays and on the weekends walk around a bit longer. (i’ve just realised how lazy and TERRIBLE this was)..
..
but now, even though i have only been using this new diet plan for about 5 days (ALONG WITH ADIOS DIET PILLS, that i take after each meal) , i’ve been eating breakfast, either crunchy nut cornflakes or granary wholemeal bread(toast). then for lunch i have replaced the crisps with another set of sandwiches, and i have replaced the chocco bar with a Go Ahead bar (which is like a bar with raisins covered in yoghurt). i would eat one set of sandwiches at break time then the other a long with the bar at lunch time. then when i get home, i would eat a bowl of cornflakes. then at around 5-6 i would have a decent meal for dinner, such as chicken and rice, sausages with chips (only a small portion though) etc. i know that the dinners aren’t very good but i’m not sure what else i could eat. i also drink just juice and water with these meals. i also do about 15 minutes power walking on my tredmill and then on my crosstrainer i would do about ten minutes stood up and ten minutes sat down on it..
but my main question is, will i lose weight if i carry on doing this diet for about 6 weeks? how much weight do you think i would lose? i am aiming to lose just under a stone (14lbs) in these 6ish weeks before i go back to school
thank you for your time, tips and tricks appreciated. take care x

I’m sorry, but your new diet is not an awful lot better than your old diet. Cornflakes? There’s more nutrition in the cardboard box they come in, according to one TV programme on nutrition (a long time ago).
Hard boil yourself 6 eggs in the evening (put eggs into cold water, bring water to the boil. When boiling turn down until the water is just simmering and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and run cold water over the eggs, then leave to sit until cool. Crack the shells and remove eggs and put in fridge.
For breakfast – eat a hard boiled egg – quick and easy. Take another for mid morning break. Eat sandwiches for lunch. When at home, instead of cornflakes, try a small salad, with lettuce, tomatoes, etc. For dinner, your chicken and rice is fine, or your sausage and chips (few) are fine. Cut out the juice and drink only water, milk or tea / coffee (no sugar and no sweeteners) or herbal tea.
You can vary this with tinned tuna or mackerel or sardines. All quick and easy and nutritious. You can eat 1 slice of toast with these if you want.
Eat as much salad as you like. Dinner could also be salad with ham or chicken or cheese or sliced beef. Drink plenty of water. Provided you keep up the protein and drink plenty of water and eat plenty of salad, you won’t be hungry and you will lose weight at a good pace.
